This 12 day tour takes you not only to the central islands of the Azores but also to the most western islands of the archipelago, being Flores and Corvo. The island of Flores (Flower Island) has been declared a Biosphere nature reserve by Unesco. You have the jagged rocky coasts, the caves, the lava tunnels and the lakes in the ancient volcano craters. And of course the abundance of flowers during this trek in spring. Whale watching? These places are also ideal.
Departure and arrival are Ponta del Gada on the island of Sao Miguel on which you also fly.
Sailing experience is requirement and you must be in good and fit health. There are also at least 2 night sailing passages. During this trip there is ample time to explore the islands. Taking step shoes are a must!
